Mathematics

The BHS Math Department provides an environment where students can become competent users of mathematics and mathematical applications. 

 

Our courses develop students skilled in math and are based on the Common Core Standards.  We offer courses ranging from Algebra I to Advanced Placement Calculus (BC).  We encourage students to pursue further study in Math after graduation. We offer College Preparatory, Honors, and Advanced Placement classes.  AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics are options for kids who would like to pursue careers in science and math. 

Our math teachers are experienced.  Most have advanced degrees. Two are Presidential Awardees and one was the State Teacher of the Year for Delaware.
